Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team in Los Angeles on a hybrid basis (2-3 days in the office).
What you'll be doing…
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of software development, Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations (IE&O), or Cybersecurity focused projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and executive leadership. Ensure transparent communication around project status and key decisions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones, coordinating efforts between various technical and operational staff to ensure aligned project delivery.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and blockers, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans, and escalating critical issues as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce quality standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that deliverables meet technical requirements and business objectives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and present regular progress updates to senior leadership, demonstrating a strong understanding of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
The right person has…
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management across Software Development Life Cycle, IE&O, and Cybersecurity.
- 5+ years of experience driving change across globally distributed teams.
- 5+ years of experience with tools such as Lucid, Excel, and PowerPoint for stakeholder discussions and leadership reporting.
- Proficiency in agile and hybrid execution, and comfortable using Jira for project management.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
