Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you’ll be doing…
- Design and architect solutions leveraging cloud big data technology to ingest, process, and analyze large, disparate datasets to exceed business requirements.
- Develop data management and persistence solutions for application use cases leveraging relational and non-relational databases.
- Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) to influence solution proposals and guide migration strategies.
- Develop data lake solutions for storing structured and unstructured data from various sources.
- Strengthen the CI/CD processes, development best practices, and contribute to the Data Engineering Org.
- Build systems to ingest, cleanse, normalize data, and develop data pipelines from multiple sources.
- Optimize ETL workflows using Azure Databricks and PySpark for efficient data processing.
- Perform comprehensive testing including unit, system integration, regression, and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure accurate data usage.
- Implement data security best practices, ensuring data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity.
The right person has…
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a data developer utilizing Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, and ETL technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Platform, Databricks, and Azure storage solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
