Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Analyze large manufacturing, assembly-line, machine, and production datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and quality signals.
- Build and validate predictive models to forecast faulty/defective parts and diagnose root cause when defects are detected.
- Assess data feasibility and identify gaps in data quality, coverage, or instrumentation.
- Develop anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and quality-analysis solutions for production and assembly operations.
- Engineer features and prepare datasets from MES and operational sources for modeling.
- Work with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MSSQL databases to extract, analyze, and model operational data.
- Utilize Databricks and related platforms to explore data, build and validate models, and support production model workflows.
- Collaborate with the software engineering team to operationalize validated models into the AI application.
- Communicate findings and offer recommendations through dashboards, visualizations, and executive-level storytelling.
- Support future AI initiatives such as predictive analytics, intelligent decision support, and manufacturing automation.
The right person has…
- 5+ years in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics.
- 5+ years of experience using Python for data analysis, ML, and model development.
- Strong SQL skills for extracting and analyzing data from large enterprise databases.
- Proven experience building and validating predictive models end to end.
- Experience working with large-scale operational or manufacturing datasets.
- Experience with Databricks or comparable platforms for large-scale data processing.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
