Radio Frequency Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled engineer to design, build, and optimize microwave backhaul and wireless networks across utility, industrial, and government environments. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role where your expertise will directly shape reliable, mission-critical communications systems.
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Design and engineer point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave links using tools like Pathloss 6 and Infovista Planet.
- Perform link budgets, path profiling, fade margin analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure high-performance, reliable networks.
- Conduct site and path surveys (LOS validation, obstacle analysis) and support field implementation and system validation.
- Configure and optimize microwave radio systems, working with leading equipment providers like Nokia, Aviat, and Ericsson.
- Develop installation drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation to support full project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical SME for microwave backhaul and wireless system integration.
- Support projects end-to-end—from design and planning through deployment, testing, and optimization.
The Ideal Candidate Has…
- 5–8 years of RF / wireless engineering experience with a strong focus on microwave backhaul design.
- Hands-on experience with Pathloss 6 and/or Infovista Planet.
- Proven ability to perform link design, path analysis, and system optimization.
- Experience with wireless technologies such as LTE/5G, Land Mobile Radio, or narrowband systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Utility industry experience is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PE preferred but not required).
