Our client, a leading organization, is in search of a highly skilled Programmer Analyst who is ready to take legacy systems to new heights with modern AWS-based solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into application logic, document workflows, and collaborate closely with a dedicated team and third-party vendors.
What You'll Be Doing…
- Review and document current application architecture, data models, and stored procedures.
- Refactor and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages and functions for cloud migration.
- Transition legacy Crystal Reports to a modern AWS-compatible reporting platform.
- Handle data extraction, mapping, validation, and transformation for ETL processes.
- Update and refactor core logic modules such as sentence computation.
- Convert legacy DHTML forms to modern user interfaces.
- Understand and document backend automation and scheduled jobs.
- Collaborate with external vendors to clarify requirements and support modernization efforts.
What the Right Candidate Has…
- Expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views).
- Strong SQL skills with a focus on query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience in data migration, ETL workflows, and schema transformation.
- Ability to decipher and document logic from legacy applications and undocumented code.
- Familiarity with legacy front-end technologies such as DHTML and HTML/JavaScript forms.
- Experience with task schedulers for automating data processes.
Preferred Qualifications Include…
- Experience with AWS database and reporting services.
- Knowledge of BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight.
- Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell).
- Background in Offender Management or enterprise justice systems.
- Experience collaborating with external vendor teams on modernization projects.
