Our client is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer III, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Perform projects to reduce packaging material, processing, distribution, and damage costs.
- Resolve complex product and packaging issues.
- Develop and apply graphic design elements for products.
- Set identification standards for packaging materials.
- Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, departments, sources, and customers.
- Support daily plant operations by troubleshooting packaging issues.
- Drive corrective actions to maintain material flow and minimize operational disruptions.
- Lead cost-reduction and packaging optimization initiatives.
- Review and improve bulk and expendable packaging solutions.
- Support new launches and engineering changes through packaging validation and implementation.
- Ensure packaging designs comply with company standards and operational requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving and standardization.
The right person has…
- Expert knowledge of testing, design, and packaging processes.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to create blueprints and technical drawings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or related technical area.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
