Our client is seeking a talented Senior Operating Engineer to become an integral part of their team at a premier Class A office building downtown. Tenants include top-tier law, education, and accounting firms.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Execute and oversee tasks like painting, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance.
- Maintain and prioritize tenant service requests via CMMS daily.
- Supervise contractor activities for quality assurance.
- Lead response efforts for on-call or emergency situations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex building system issues.
- Ensure team compliance with safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.
- Manage special projects and technical training programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
- City of New Orleans 1st Class Stationary Engineer’s Certificate in Air Conditioning required.
- Associate degree in engineering technology, trade school certification, or equivalent experience.
- Proven supervisory/leadership experience in building operations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with success in team development.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
