Our client is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer 2, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with accurate information for all building operating systems and completed work orders.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on various building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance services on building operating systems and equipment, performing tasks directly or delegating appropriately to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to online service requests, completing work professionally and efficiently while minimizing disruption to building occupants.
- Assist with installations of new equipment and replacement of existing systems as required to support facility upgrades and improvements.
- Review the quality and pricing of work performed by outside contractors and vendors to ensure standards are met and costs are reasonable.
- Maintain a detailed inventory of parts and equipment, tracking usage and submitting replacement requests to keep adequate stock levels.
The right person has…
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA Universal certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working with computerized work order systems and CMMS platforms.
