Our client is searching for a skilled Operating Engineer ready to bring their expertise to a reputable team and secure a place within a thriving company!
What You'll Be Doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all facility equipment across a variety of systems.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with standards.
- Handle facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance with technical proficiency.
- Maintain and optimize HVAC systems through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part replacements.
- Record readings, making necessary adjustments for optimal equipment operations.
- Ensure the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Conduct periodic checks on tool and instrument inventory.
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
- Follow all safety procedures, propose solutions for eliminating dangers and safety hazards, and maintain high housekeeping standards in work areas.
The Right Person Has…
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Proven ability to analyze and address issues in Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
