Our client is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs for Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
- Ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
- Handle preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance.
- Maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment to achieve optimal performance levels.
- Ensure safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a safe and clean workplace.
- Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work by outside contractors.
- Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safety in work areas.
The right person has…
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Skills in analyzing and operating Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.
- Preferred: EPA 608 Universal Certification and two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
