What you’ll be doing…
- Lead the operational management and daily administration of our engineering team while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective building systems
- Protect and enhance client asset value with a focus on 100% uptime for building engineering systems
- Implement reliability-based maintenance programs, oversee mechanical and electrical equipment operations, and encourage continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical/electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Manage contractor activities, building infrastructure projects, safety training programs, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise, hire, train, and develop engineering and maintenance staff while maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Execute Critical Facility Work Authorization (CFWA) process among staff, tenants, and contractors working on building infrastructure
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including building drawings and regulatory compliance records
The right person has…
- Associate Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of facility-related work experience with exemplary customer service skills
- Proven managerial and supervisory experience leading technical teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes and construction planning/execution
- Working knowledge of HVAC, fluid handling, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS systems
- Universal Technician Certification for CFCs and Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent
Preferred qualifications also include…
- High Pressure Operator Engineer License
- Advanced certifications in building systems or facilities management
- Experience with reliability-based maintenance programs and continuous improvement methodologies
- Background in critical facility operations or mission-critical environments
- Strong analytical skills for equipment performance optimization
- Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives
