Our client is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Operate building systems via BAS and FAS, including Chiller plant operations.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of base building and critical system machinery and equipment.
- Respond to and complete work orders as needed, assisting with daily operations of the building.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to services, delegating them as necessary.
- Manage repair and installation of new equipment and facilities, maintaining inventory.
- Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring a clean and safe workplace.
- Prepare and submit periodic checks for supplies.
- Order parts and equipment required for operations.
- Complete monthly assigned safety training.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
The right person has…
- Minimum of a high school diploma and two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- Four years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance.
- Experience as a journeyman engineer with strong skills related to building automation systems, life safety systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
- Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office and E-mail.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Boilers license preferred and Universal HVAC License.
