Our client is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Complete assigned tasks for entire campus building systems including HVAC, painting, pressure washing, lighting systems, plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance.
- Maintain work order system and complete tenant service requests promptly.
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks according to schedule.
- Support on-call or emergency response situations as part of a rotating schedule.
- Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls.
- Comply with all safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
The right person has…
- 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
- Universal CFC EPA certification or a commitment to achieving it within the first year (with client assistance).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree; experience with vendor management; background in project oversight and coordination; familiarity with commercial building systems and facility management best practices.
