Our client, a leader in their field, is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer dedicated to maintaining and optimizing facility systems.
What You'll Be Doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems including Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
- Engage in preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control, while managing contracted and general maintenance.
- Maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part-replacement.
- Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments for proper operation.
- Comply with safety and departmental policies for hazardous materials, ensuring a clean and safe workplace.
- Monitor tool and instrument inventory, and oversee quality and pricing of maintenance by outside contractors.
- Identify and propose solutions for safety hazards and potential dangers.
The Right Person Has…
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues in Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications…
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Two years of trades schooling in Electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
