Are you a skilled Operating Engineer with a knack for maintaining and troubleshooting facility systems? We have the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in a dynamic environment!
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM CST
Essential Skills: Experience with BMS Systems, Work Order Management & CMMS
Availability: Ability to respond to building emergencies during non-working hours
What You'll Be Doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems, with specialized knowledge in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) while being versatile in others.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring of repairs for Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facilities up to applicable standards.
- Ensure facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and overall technical proficiency are maintained.
- Maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts for optimum performance.
- Record readings and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Conduct periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory, and monitor quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas, recognize danger, and propose methods to eliminate hazards.
The Right Person Has…
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
- Ability to analyze and address issues in Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
- EPA 608 Type II Certification
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
Preferred Skills…
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
- Experience in Central Plant and Chillers
