Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Mechanic, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team in Brewster, NY.
What you’ll be doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities.
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Travel between facilities to ensure proper operation and functionality.
- Maintain responsibility for facility services such as preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance oversight.
- Maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning, inspection, calibration, and part replacement.
- Record equipment readings and adjust to ensure proper operation.
- Comply with departmental policies related to hazardous materials.
- Perform inspections of tools and instruments to ensure inventory and functionality.
- Monitor maintenance work quality and cost performed by external contractors.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure safety.
The right person has…
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of relevant work experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Proven ability to analyze and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for correct operation.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: EPA 608 Universal Certification and two years of trade school education in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
