Our client, a renowned industry leader, is looking for a talented Mobile Engineer to join their dynamic team! If you have a passion for facility maintenance across multiple sites, this is your chance to excel and make a difference!
Position Details:
- Location: Support across Long Beach, Newport Beach, Irvine, and Santa Ana
- Company van and equipment provided
- Travel within a 50-mile radius
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (flexible start to manage traffic, 8-hour total shift)
- Weekend work available but not required
- Potential for contract-to-hire if assignment goes well
- FTE salary starts at $30/hr, dependent on experience
Interview Process:
- Two rounds of virtual interviews
- Round 1 with direct manager
- Round 2 with Hiring Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities
- Demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, etc.) and be multi-skilled in others
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, and Life Safety systems
- Ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards
- Maintain lighting systems, complete minor plumbing repairs, perform general interior maintenance
- Handle special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests
- Move office furniture and equipment as requested
- Stay on call for after-hours emergencies
- Comply with safety procedures and hazardous material policies
- Document work performance and maintain tool inventory
- Monitor and manage quality and pricing of maintenance work by outside contractors
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
- Ability to analyze and correct issues in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
- EPA 608 Type II Certification required
- Valid driver’s license
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license is not required
Preferred Skills:
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
