Our client, an esteemed Fortune 500 automotive company, is on the hunt for an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to bring their expertise to a dynamic and innovative team!
What you'll be doing…
– Manage vehicle fit/finish by analyzing key process metrics and customer feedback.
– Foster effective communication across production, maintenance, suppliers, and shop committees.
– Lead a highly engaged operations team to deliver exceptional results.
– Implement and monitor safety initiatives effectively.
– Execute quality control and manufacturing processes aligned with BIQ 4 plant standards.
– Support fast response and six-pillar quality process reviews.
– Resolve GCA, DRR, FTQ, DRL, and CPIT issues efficiently.
The right person has…
– A background in dimensional, manufacturing, statistical, or Mechanical Engineering.
– Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) & datum strategies.
– Experience with Global Manufacturing Systems, metrology processes, and PFMEA.
– Fluent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– Ability to work and communicate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Education/Experience:
– Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
– 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Nice to have:
– Knowledge of PolyWorks or equivalent metrology software.
– Experience with Perceptron, VRSI, or INOS Vision Systems.
Preferred Work Schedule:
– 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM
– 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
– 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM
