Manufacturing Engineer
Our client, a leading Fortune 500 automotive company, is on the hunt for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. If you’re passionate about engineering and eager to contribute to innovative solutions, this role might be your perfect fit.
What you’ll be doing…
- Provide daily welding/dispense technical support to the Maintenance and Quality teams, troubleshooting equipment failures and guiding teams in continuous improvement.
- Act as a technical resource on the plant floor for welding processes and dispense systems.
- Support body shop welding, fastening, sealing, and adhesive systems to adhere to quality standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting welding/dispense issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain and optimize existing database records and systems for tracking discrepancies and maintenance validation documentation.
- Work alongside engineering and production teams to enhance quality and cost objectives.
- Partake in audits and update welding/dispense records as change requests arise.
The right person has…
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and body shop plant floor.
- Flexibility to work overtime and rotate shifts as needed.
- A Bachelor’s degree in weld engineering (preferred).
- Strong experience as a Body Shop Maintenance Group Leader or in technical support roles.
- Proficient understanding of welding/dispense standards and systems.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CAD applications and software related to engineering.
