Lead Operating Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented Lead Operating Engineer to join their dynamic team and showcase their expertise in a pivotal role.
What you’ll be doing…
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and systems.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in at least two craft areas – Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics, or Central Utility Plant Operations.
- Manage reactive work orders and ensure smooth facility operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and monitor necessary repairs.
- Support Chief Engineer in gathering information and submitting annual OCP reports, ensuring minimum scores are met.
- Engage in scheduled Virtual Engineering Team calls.
- Work at heights up to 26 feet and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety protocols.
- Mentor and lead fellow engineers, providing guidance through technical challenges.
What you’ll need…
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
- CFC Universal Certification required.
- Certification in at least two areas: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics, or Central Utility Plant Operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use a laptop and smartphone for software management and communication.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- On-call duties required bi-weekly and weekend work during on-call periods.
- Initiative-driven with professional conduct and reliability.
