Industrial Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing…
- Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using diverse measurement techniques.
- Provide necessary information for various management systems.
- Analyze and record information on assigned problems for optimal utilization of personnel, materials, machines, and facilities.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel, and external suppliers.
- Recommend changes for layouts, labor control, and material control.
- Ensure effective use of personnel, material, and equipment to support SPQRC initiatives.
- Aid the plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost objectives.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including daily, weekend, and holiday overtime.
- Support and implement QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.
The Right Person Has…
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate proficiency with Lotus Notes or similar email communication tool.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for meetings and presentations.
- Ability to exhibit teamwork and work well with others.
- Experience partnering with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
- Competence in multitasking and handling diverse assignments concurrently.
- Strong understanding of work measurement and work standards.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Demonstrated ability with ergonomic requirements for workstation design.
- Experience in line balancing activities (3-5 years).
- Capability to coordinate system simulations and design process buff (3-5 years).
- Overall position-related experience (6 years).
- Relevant auto industry experience necessary at entry-level (<1 year).
- Past GM work experience preferred at entry-level (<1 year).
- Expertise in Manufacturing, Assembly Processes, and Ergonomics.
