Front-End UI Developer
Scope and Responsibilities:
- The Front-End UI Developer will be responsible for designing and developing the user interface of company’s Credit Screener application, which integrates market and security data sourced from the Bloomberg API.
- This individual will work closely with the backend engineering team to build a high-performance, intuitive, and data-rich front-end using React and AG Grid.
- Responsibilities include translating business and user requirements into elegant, responsive UI components, implementing real-time data visualization and filtering capabilities, and ensuring seamless communication with backend APIs hosted in Azure.
- The developer will also be responsible for optimizing performance, maintaining code quality through best practices and reusable components, and collaborating with product, design, and technology teams to deliver a robust and scalable user experience.
Experience Required:
- Experience in capital markets, investment management, or financial services technology required.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 6+ years building production React/TypeScript applications
- Proven experience building complex, data-intensive UIs that integrate with RESTful APIs or event-driven backends.
- Strong proficiency with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and HTML5
- Deep hands-on experience with AG Grid or comparable enterprise data grid/component libraries. Proven ability to implement custom cell renderers/editors, column definitions, filtering models, virtualization, row selection, state persistence, and server-side data integration.
- Experience building reusable React component libraries, design system components, or internal abstractions around third-party libraries is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Recoil, or Context API) and component lifecycle optimization.
- Experience integrating front-end components with .NET / Azure-based APIs or similar enterprise backends.
- Strong focus on performance optimization, scalability, and responsive UI design.
- Familiarity with authentication/authorization flows (OAuth, Azure AD, JWT).
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Repos, pull request workflows, branch policies, and Azure Pipelines for CI/CD
- Understanding of data visualization principles – ability to present complex financial data clearly and interactively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and business users.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to backend APIs, services, and integration work as needed, is a plus

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
