What You’ll Be Doing…
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and make necessary repairs on industrial equipment and fleet vehicles including forklifts (electric and LP), aerial lifts, personnel carriers, and automobiles/trucks.
- Diagnose, disassemble, and overhaul electrical systems, motors, drive systems, brakes, and other vehicle assemblies.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative while performing daily tasks.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and manipulating materials required for vehicle maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities…
- Diagnose vehicle failures and perform necessary disassembly, repair, and reassembly.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Respond promptly to service calls ensuring minimal downtime.
- Keep accurate records, including vehicle maintenance logs and pre-trip inspection checklists.
- Maintain and repair fleet equipment to company standards.
What You Bring to the Table…
- Minimum age of 18 years; 21 years or older if CDL is required.
- Ability to pass drug and background checks, as well as the Selection Test.
- Expertise in mechanics relating to forklifts, hydraulic and brake systems.
- A strong grasp of preventive maintenance programs.
Helpful Experience Includes…
- Proficiency with computer instrumentation and diagnostics for maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and up-to-date technological practices.
- Experience with driving and servicing Class A or B CDL trucks.
- Skills in repairing heavy and light trucks, including engines, brakes, and tires.
- Knowledge of internal combustion and diesel engines.
