Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST (Weekends/On-Call as Needed)

Diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of fire alarm equipment including smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, supervisory devices, and more.

Maintain and repair fire suppression systems, including wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, and fire pumps.

Act as a subject matter expert on compliance with local, state, and federal fire and life safety codes.

Ensure all portable fire extinguishers are deployed, inspected, and maintained to applicable codes.

Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for commercial Fire/Life Safety systems in compliance with recognized standards and local regulations.

Utilize building automation systems to track and evaluate operational impacts of facilities and production equipment.

Collaborate with a skilled team, coach lower-level technicians, and contribute to the improvement of equipment performance and maintenance methods.
The Right Candidate Will Have…

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial Fire/Life Safety Systems.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency with fire suppression and alarm systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Certifications: Basic Electrical Safety or Qualified Electrical Worker training.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and walk extensively throughout the facility.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: NICET, NFPS certifications are a plus.

Skills: Experience with commercial fire and life safety systems, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair various fire suppression and alarm systems, ensuring optimal operation.

Inspect and maintain emergency egress lighting and life safety power systems in accordance with applicable codes.

Respond to customer service requests and provide feedback on corrective actions taken.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and site policies.

Maintain a strict work schedule, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to safety standards.

Use diagnostic tools to evaluate and improve facility energy efficiency.
