We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician to support our operations at 15 Caberfae Hwy, Manistee, MI 49660-1109. Dive into a role where every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities!
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Assist the operations team with the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
- Maintain kitchen equipment including meat grinders, cubers, meat saws, slicers, and more.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs to ensure facilities run smoothly.
- Keep lighting systems functional with regular bulb and ballast maintenance.
- Conduct Fuel Center UST inspections and ensure dispenser maintenance is up to date.
- Be prepared to handle after-hours emergencies on an on-call basis.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work environments. Identify and propose solutions to eliminate safety hazards.
- Engage in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs to stay current and effective.
- Document work performance and material procurement as directed.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as scanners, printers, scales, networks, and UPS equipment.
- Join our team in participating in on-call, after-hour calls as needed.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Completion of a technical training program is desirable, with at least 1+ years of experience in general building repair, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Ability to lift minimum of 80 lbs., work with ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process.
