Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician 4, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Provide joint supervision of engineering department staff and manage the delegation of preventative maintenance programs, equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Perform comprehensive equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all building systems including fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, and emergency backup systems.
- Monitor building management systems and respond promptly to all alarms, taking corrective action or initiating follow-up procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate emergency repair activities based on priority and available personnel capabilities.
- Manage site operations and various permits including facility work permits, hot work permits, and roof access permits.
- Ensure availability of adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies through preparing and submitting purchase-order requests and sourcing stock materials.
- Foster a safety culture and adherence to company and industry-standard practices.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response.

- Journeyman or master-level experience at a research and development site.
- Industrial or commercial experience.
- Ability to lead teams and manage complex building systems.
