Our client is seeking an experienced Digital Engineer, AutoCAD, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Providing Digital Engineering (DE) support of Powertrain Unit projects, with a strong focus on production preparation elements for Internal Combustion Engines, Hybrid Transmissions, Axles, and other potential Powertrain components.
- Creating and revising product operation drawings in AutoCAD, working directly with the Production Engineering team.
- Maintaining and creating production line layouts, including generating detailed equipment and utility installation drawings.
- Conducting product 3D model comparisons and overlays using Autodesk Inventor, Catia, or other 3D software.
- Rendering and evaluating 3D models for project studies using Navisworks, Revit, and other software packages.
- Simulating production lines to confirm line capacity and identify areas for process improvements.
- Collecting and evaluating point cloud scan data to support project studies.
The right person has…
- Experience in project management responsibility, including planning and time management, coordination, and reporting.
- Proficiency in creating or interpreting product, process, and equipment drawings/models.
- Intermediate to advanced capability in CAD software such as Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault, Revit, ReCap.
- B.S. in Engineering preferred, or Technical Degree in CAE with 3+ years of experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Expertise in Autodesk applications, particularly AutoCAD Architecture, Inventor Professional, Vault/Vault Data Structure, Revit, ReCap, Navisworks.
