Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to ensure a seamless operation and maintain excellence within a mission-critical environment. This contract position is set to end on September 30, 2026.
What You'll Be Doing…
- Operate and maintain both critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems within the data center.
- Engage in preventative maintenance and dedicated site monitoring to ensure peak performance.
- Conduct pumps and fire system checks, manage HVAC settings, and handle fire suppression tasks.
- Perform engineering rounds and site rounds, document critical data, and collaborate closely with JLL engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor environmental and operational data, such as power and cooling capacities, to maintain optimal conditions.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for both planned and unplanned data center tasks.
- Participate in the development and execution of precise operating procedures, and preventive maintenance routines.
- Address electrical and mechanical challenges promptly, ensuring minimal risk impact, while effectively communicating with your team.
- Coordinate with external contractors to uphold critical facility work standards.
- Embrace the flexibility of a 24/7 operational environment, working scheduled shifts from Friday through Sunday, 6am to 6pm.
The Ideal Candidate Has…
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Prior military service or technical school training; highly preferred.
- 1-3+ years in Mission Critical Environments; desired.
- Electrical or mechanical license; advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Proven collaboration skills, able to work effectively within a team to minimize data center risks.
