What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage and maintain all building systems, ensuring continuous operation and upholding a flawless track record of uptime. Responsibilities include overseeing fire/life safety protocols, HVAC, chillers, and related systems.
- Monitor and adjust operations of refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical systems, and more. You'll ensure systems such as UPS, emergency backups, and power distribution are functioning optimally.
- Analyze system performances, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to ensure seamless operation.
- Adhere to policies regarding safe handling of hazardous materials and uphold impeccable health and safety standards within the workplace.
- Be proactive in managing work orders, including CMMS, vendor relations, and customer support tickets.
- Understand and be prepared to enact emergency escalation procedures when necessary.
- Embrace and execute any additional duties as required to maintain our high standard of operations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- At least 2+ years of experience within a data center or critical facility setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability with computer applications like MS Office Suite and CMMS.
Preferred but not Essential:
- Experience with Corrigo.
- Universal EPA 608 certification.
- Training in NFPA70E standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk large campus-like settings and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Comfort climbing stairs, accessing rooftops, and working from heights (ladders up to 30 ft with a 300-lb limit).
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including holidays, and respond to site emergencies efficiently.
