Our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you’ll be doing…
- Responsible for electrical design on mechanical/hydraulic power stamping presses and related automation upgrades.
- Create, modify, review, and verify HMI programs using appropriate software and hardware.
- Create, modify, review, and verify PLC and Safety PLC programs using relevant platforms and technologies.
- Design and modify Hardwire and Panel Layouts utilizing AutoCAD Electrical and other software.
- Perform Risk Assessments for projects concerning bid selection, hardware procurement, and installation timing.
- Supervise and guide Engineers, Electricians, and Millwrights during various installation and upgrade processes.
- Provide comprehensive Full Line Commissioning support throughout the installation phase.
The right person has…
- BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies, technician degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC programming (preference for Rockwell, Mitsubishi, and Siemens).
- Proven capability in electrical hardware design and modification.
- Experience with equipment demolition, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong multitasking abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel and work in Canada and Mexico, including the ability to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
