Our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, and conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functionality.
- Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.
- Investigate modification requirements, implement modifications, and adjust equipment during online vehicle trials for improved quality and productivity.
- Oversee vendor installation to lower costs and decrease project duration.
- Install, set-up, and troubleshoot program controllers while providing training to maintenance personnel on new equipment.
- Share expert knowledge with local maintenance and production members and engage in travel for equipment installation and supplier interaction.
The right person has…
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills with at least 4 years of experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs and industrial electrical circuits and controls.
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience in industrial maintenance technology.
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to travel internationally and domestically up to 20% of the time, with readiness for occasional overtime work.
- Manual dexterity and good vision for operating tools and machinery, as well as physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Nice to have: Industrial maintenance experience, knowledge of industrial robot programming, and safety certifications like OSHA 10.
