Audio/Visual (AV) Specialist – Construction IT

You’re in the right place! Client is on the hunt for a dynamic AV Specialist to support ongoing construction IT projects. This role is perfect for someone ready to bring their expertise to a state-wide initiative while being part of a committed team!
In this Role, You’ll Be:
- Playing an essential role in the scoping of projects and defining technical requirements
- Conducting on-site walkthroughs and participating in design meetings
- Assisting with the procurement processes by drafting specifications and evaluating proposals
- Acting as a subject matter expert for audio/visual and cabling installations
- Coordinating with vendors and construction managers during the project implementation phase
- Being involved in project closeouts, including testing and documentation
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field
- Advanced knowledge of AV system design and integration
- Experience with structured cabling and construction project coordination at an intermediate level
- Skills in RFP technical writing and proposal evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 Suite
- (Preferred) CTS, CTS-D, or equivalent certifications; and basic familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit
This is a hybrid position located at various statewide sites and our central office with some travel and in-person site visits required. Work hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekend walkthroughs. This is an “as-needed” position with the potential for overtime and up to 40 hours per week.
