Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician 3, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team in Cambridge, MA.
What you'll be doing…
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance activities on facility equipment, including HVAC systems and laboratory equipment.
- Monitor and maintain environmental control systems crucial for life sciences operations.
- Provide responsive support and manage vendors for routine maintenance and emergency repairs in office and laboratory spaces.
- Collaborate with various teams to serve as a point of contact for facility-related escalations.
- Conduct building inspections and perform carpentry and basic locksmithing services as needed.
- Support lab operations including lab moves and reconfigurations, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Lead client service activities and manage event setup/teardown as necessary.
The right person has…
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school graduate.
- 2-5 years of facility maintenance experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage vendors and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or academic research/laboratory environment is preferred.
