What you'll be doing…
- Provide support for LANs, WAN connections, and application performance troubleshooting.
- Monitor day-to-day operations of the data network and offer technical assistance and resolution for network problems.
- Recommend and assist with implementation of complex upgrades and improvements to the data network.
- Collaborate with infrastructure groups and end-users to troubleshoot performance issues in an enterprise environment.
- Monitor installation, maintenance, and monitoring systems of the client's network.
- Participate in on-call rotation and demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
The right person has…
- A minimum of 2-4 years of in-depth troubleshooting and networking systems experience, including LAN, firewalls, routers, PCs, and printers.
- A comprehensive understanding of network services such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- The ability to analyze, evaluate networks, and provide solutions for efficient network operations.
- Experience with Cisco equipment and network solutions planning and implementation.
- Skills in creating comprehensive documentation using Visio and related tools.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated teamwork, flexibility, self-direction, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
- An Associate's degree or one to two years of vocational technical training is preferred, with studies toward a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Reliable transportation to travel between sites as a Field Engineer.
