Mobile HVAC Engineer / Mobile Building Maintenance Technician

- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Typical banking hours with some flexibility)
- Overtime: Occasional emergency and after-hours call-ins required
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mobile HVAC Engineer to maintain and service commercial facilities across approximately 25 assigned locations. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of HVAC and building systems while ensuring maximum equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial HVAC experience, Universal EPA Certification, and the ability to perform general building maintenance. This is a field-based role utilizing a company vehicle, company-provided tools, and the Corrigo work order management system.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, air handlers, VAV systems, package units, exhaust fans, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Replace belts, filters, motors, contactors, capacitors, bearings, thermostats, sensors, and other HVAC components.
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and maintain HVAC equipment for peak operational efficiency.
- Record operating temperatures, pressures, amperage, refrigerant levels, and equipment performance.
Building Maintenance
- Perform general building maintenance across assigned facilities.
- Replace lighting fixtures, lamps, and ballasts.
- Perform drywall and wall patching.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, valves, drains, and piping.
- Repair doors, ceiling tiles, hardware, and general facility components.
- Support fire/life safety systems inspections as required.
Preventive Maintenance
- Execute scheduled PM programs across approximately 25 facilities.
- Complete inspections using Corrigo CMMS.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment histories.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and equipment reliability.
Mechanical & Electrical Systems
- Troubleshoot commercial mechanical systems.
- Diagnose electrical control issues related to HVAC equipment.
- Perform minor electrical repairs within scope.
- Support plumbing and mechanical infrastructure maintenance.
Vendor & Facility Support
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Assist with purchasing maintenance materials.
- Maintain inventory of service parts and consumables.
- Perform routine tool inspections and inventory management.
Safety
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards.
- Safely handle refrigerants and hazardous materials.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5–7 years of commercial HVAC or facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with commercial HVAC equipment.
- Experience servicing multiple commercial facilities.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to travel daily between approximately 25 locations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Required Certifications
- EPA 608 Type II Certification (minimum)
- EPA 608 Universal Certification strongly preferred
