Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician 2, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing…
- Promoting a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Recording readings and making adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Using appropriate tooling to troubleshoot simple AC/DC electrical circuits.
- Basic knowledge and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairs to miscellaneous operational equipment as needed.
- Performing repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various building components.
- Maintaining and repairing locks, locking mechanisms, doors, and controllers.
- Maintaining documentation for fire extinguishers and other safety systems.
- Repairing plumbing components such as toilets, urinals, and sinks.
- Preparing, priming, and painting building surfaces, and performing general handyman tasks.
- Completing special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
- Moving office furniture, machinery, and other materials as requested.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients.
- Maintaining positive working relationships across all facilities.
- Performing any other duties assigned by leadership.
The right person has…
- 5+ years of construction experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of principles, techniques, and equipment used in the handyman industry.
- Ability to learn and operate basic computer programs and systems.
- A friendly personality and commitment to great customer service.
- A strong work ethic and high dependability.
- Capability to perform physical labor, including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and handling tools.
- Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Willingness to work exposed to various environmental conditions.
