Our client, a leading company in Lansing, is on the hunt for a highly-experienced Mobile Engineer specializing in HVAC/R systems. If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic and ever-growing team, this is the role for you!
What you’ll be doing…
- Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of all HVAC/R, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on facility interiors and exteriors, focusing on HVAC/R systems and overall building maintenance.
- Implement preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders efficiently.
- Stay adept with equipment, methods, and maintenance practices to support daily operations.
- Prioritize safety by completing Hazard Assessments and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Uphold local compliance with ordinances and regulations.
- Maintain a valid state driver’s license and practice safety while driving.
- Manage administrative tasks, including using CMMS systems, performing safety inspections, and participating in meetings.
What you bring…
- Education/Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Third Party Certification preferred.
- Experience:
- A minimum of four years in technical roles related to building engineering, particularly in HVAC/R systems.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- Universal CFC recovery certification required within 90 days of employment.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licenses as mandated by local authorities; familiarity with computer applications like Word and Excel is preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work from heights.
- Capability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, and perform tasks in extreme conditions.
- Willingness to drive for extended periods and climb ladders with weight restrictions.
Availability: Must be amenable to call-in work and participate in an on-call schedule as required.
