What you'll be doing…
- Step into the shoes of a key team member within the BIDI and Data Services teams, overseeing the City’s Open Data Portals like ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Open GOV.
- Help plan, execute, and monitor projects to bring top-notch data solutions to life.
- Take charge of collecting, storing, and maintaining crucial datasets.
- Collaborate with data owners and compliance teams to identify and publish suitable datasets, expanding the city's open data platform.
- Engage with external users – from developers to researchers – ensuring data serves their needs and enhances usability.
- Ensure datasets are documented and discoverable, upholding strong metadata standards.
- Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and documentation for both internal and public use.
- Host workshops, webinars, and training sessions to improve data literacy and open data publishing techniques.
- Spearhead community-building efforts among data users, with civic tech groups, startups, and academia leading the charge.
The right person has…
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data management, with a keen interest in open data environments.
