- Manage vehicle fit and finish based on key process metrics from customer feedback and GCA & A/B/C/FVS metrics.
- Facilitate open communication with production, maintenance, suppliers, and the shop committee.
- Drive a highly engaged floor operations team while promoting safety initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in global manufacturing systems and quality control procedures.
- Support rapid response and quality process reviews, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.
- Maintain metrology tooling according to standards to ensure PCP compliance and minimize errors.
- Oversee quality check plans and supervise personnel to ensure compliance.
- Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
The right person has…
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and datum strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an engineering background in dimensional, manufacturing, statistical, or mechanical disciplines.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of PFMEA.
Nice to have…
- Experience with metrology processes and software like PolyWorks.
- Familiarity with vision systems such as Perceptron, VRSI, or INOS.
- Understanding of dimensional metrics like E31, A/B/C/FVS and PQRS.
